This journey is specially designed for adventure seekers who want to "leave the crowds behind." Challenge your feet on hidden trails, swim in secret waterfalls, and trek through the deep bamboo forests of Hoang Lien Son National Park. Stay with local families and experience the true essence of Northwest Vietnam.

DETAILED ITINERARY

 

Night 01: Hanoi – Lao Cai (Overnight on Train)

·        Pre-departure: You are welcome to visit the Vega Travel office to store your luggage or take a shower before the trip.

·        20:30: Our tour guide will transfer you to Hanoi Railway Station.

·        21:30: Check-in and board the train.

·        22:00: The train departs for Lao Cai. Enjoy an 8-hour sleep in a comfortable 4-berth air-conditioned soft berth cabin.

·        Inclusive services: Transfer to station, train ticket.

 

Day 01: Sa Pa – Y Linh Ho – Dragon Pond – Lao Chai San – Hang Cong (Homestay)

·        06:00: Arrive at Lao Cai Station. Pick-up and transfer to Sa Pa for breakfast and a refreshing shower.

·        08:30: Start your trek on hidden paths with almost no other tourists. Cross the Y Linh Ho suspension bridge and pass by local fish farms.

·        Dragon Pond: Arrive at the "Dragon Pond" where you can take a refreshing swim at a beautiful, secluded waterfall.

·        Afternoon: Continue 1.5 hours further to Lao Chai San village for lunch. After lunch, trek up to Hang Cong hamlet (Black H’mong minority).

·        Evening: Join a hands-on cooking class with your host family. Enjoy dinner while learning about the unique customs of the H’mong people.

·        Inclusive services: Transfer, English-speaking guide, homestay permit, meals (B, L, D).

 

Day 02: Ta Chua Do – National Park – Chang Ninh – Ta Chai Mong (Homestay)

·        Morning: Wake up to the sounds of daily life in the mountains. Enjoy handmade pancakes for breakfast.

·        Trek: Enter Hoang Lien Son National Park. The landscape becomes more stunning as you climb higher. Enjoy a picnic lunch at Chang Ninh.

·        Afternoon: Trek through a dense Bamboo Forest to Mong Chang (Giay minority). Cross a suspension bridge to reach Ta Chai Mong, located right at the foot of Ca Thang mountain and its waterfall.

·        Overnight: Dinner and stay overnight at a local homestay with breathtaking views.

·        Inclusive services: Tour guide, homestay, meals (B, L, D).

 

Day 03: Ta Chai Mong – Ta Chai Dao – Su Pan – Sa Pa – Hanoi (Night Train)

·        Morning: Start your final trek through the National Park to Ta Chai Dao, the village of the Red Dao minority.

·        Lunch: Trek to Su Pan village for a cozy lunch with a Red Dao family.

·        Afternoon: Walk further for a magnificent panoramic view of Ho Village before a standby car takes you back to Sa Pa town.

·        Evening: Refresh with a shower at the hotel. Free time to explore Sa Pa town until 17:30, then transfer back to Lao Cai. Enjoy dinner at a local restaurant before checking in for the 21:00 train back to Hanoi.

·        Inclusive services: Tour guide, transfer, entrance fees, train ticket, meals (B, L)

 

Day 04: Arrival in Hanoi

·        05:30: The train arrives at Hanoi Station.

·        The tour ends. You can take a taxi back to your hotel or the Vega Travel office (Taxi cost is approx. 4-5 USD).

Day 01: Hanoi – Lao Cai by a night train – Sleep in a cabin of 4 soft berths with A/C

Experience Vietnam rail train - You can come to Vega Travel where you can store your luggage/shower in the meantime - 21:00 our tour guide will transfer you to Hanoi station - 22:00 the train leaves for Lao Cai - 08 hours experience your sleep on the train

Day 02: Sa Pa – Dzi Linh Cao – Dragon Pond – Lao Chai San2 – Háng Cống (15-16km = 6-7 hours) - Homestay

Challenge your feet on the off – beaten track - 06:00 you will arrive at the last arrival station – Lao Cai station. - Picked up to Sapa. First of all, get shower, luggage store and then enjoy breakfast at hotel. - 08:30 start trekking from Sapa on the hidden trekking traces with almost none touristic over Y Linh Ho suspension bridge, fish farms then continue to the Dragon Pond where you can swim at a beautiful waterfall… - After fresh up, 1,5 hours to trek farther to Lao Sai San village for our lunch. - After lunch, we continue our trek up to Hang Cong hamlet of the Black Hmong minority. - With your tour guide and the house owners, we will set up a temporary cooking class to learn how to cook Vietnamese food for dinner. - Enjoying your dinner and getting to know local typical traditional customs, cultural….

Day 03: Tả Chùa Đơ – National Park – Cháng Ninh – Tà Chải Mong (15-16km = 6-7 hours) - Homestay

Trek with surprises at what you have never seen before In the early morning you will be sure to be woken up by the households but lucky to see how is their daily life for a new day coming. - Enjoy some pancakes made by your tour guide’s skillful hands. - Start a new trek into Hoang Lien Son National Park by more stunning landscapes and other ethnic minority villages dotted further your eyes sigh. - Enjoy our picnic lunch at Chang Ninh. - After lunch, we continue trekking through the Bamboo forest to Mong Chang hamlet of the Day minority and over the suspension bridge to Ta Chai Mong for overnight at a local homestay right the back of Ca Thang mountain and waterfall. - Dinner and overnight at the homestay

Day 04: Ta Chai Mong – Ta Chai Dao – National Park – Su Pan – Sapa ( 10-12km = 5-6 hours) – Night train to Hanoi

Trek throughout 2 hamlets - visit 2 different kinds of minority. - After breakfast, start our new trek into the National Park to Ta Chai Dao of the red Dao minority. - Up and down to Su Pan village for our lunch at a Dao’s family - After lunch, we walk a bit farther for the magnificent view of Ho Village and then a standby car to take us back to Sapa. - Drop down your luggage and shower to refresh up - Free time to see Sapa town - 17:30 transfer down to Lao Cai - Dinner at a local restaurant nearby - 20:30 check in the train - 21:00 the train leaves for Hanoi

Day 05: Arrive in Hanoi

-  05:30 the train arrives in Hanoi - You have to take your own way to your hotel/Vega office (a tax cost is from 4 - 5 USD)
