Northeast- Ha Long 6 days

Day 01: Hanoi – Ba Be lake - Homestay

Travel adventurously by overland an adventure car for the hidden area with fabulous natural scenery.

- 07:30 pick up at the hotel then drive to Ba Be lake, on the way stop in Thai Nguyen for a visit to Ethnology Museum where you can learn a large amount knowledge of hill tribes of Viet Nam from tangible exhibitions.

-Lunch on the way then keep your driving upto Ba Be national park with stopovers to visit some ethnic minority villages en-route.

-Drive into the park to reach the beautiful village by the Lake. The village names Pac Ngoi – home to the Tay minority

-Biking to visit Hua Ma cave for 2 hours and then ride back to our homestay

-Stroll around the village as well as enjoy the landscape and fresh peaceful atmosphere.

-Dinner and overnight in a stilt – house with a friendly host.

Homestay is stilt-house, we will sleep on a bed or mattress on the second wooden floor of the traditional house of the Tay minority, supplied with blanket, mosquito net and pillow. Bathroom is right beside.

Day 02: Boating around Ba Be lake for natural verdant scenery- Homestay

-Breakfast at the house

-Take a motor boat around the central lake and national park.

-Walk up to visit the Fairy lake on the mountain

-Continue boating alongside Nang river to visit Puong cave where you and take a short rest, enjoying our lunch in a local food store.

-Walk to visit Dau Dang waterfall and then continue our boat trip back to Babe lake

-Enjoy swimming in the natural lake.

-Boat back to the village.

-Walk around the village, visit several local houses to learn about the typical culture of the Tay people as well as their daily life and daily farming, fishing jobs.

-Dinner and overnight in Pac Ngoi

Day 03: Ba Be Lake – Cao Bang for the nicest hugest waterfall of Vietnam

-Breakfast at the homestay.

-Another road driving to Cao Bang with stopovers for the lasting impression pictures taken in the North East.

-Visit Ban Dzoc waterfall that known to adventurous travelers as the nicest hugest one in Viet Nam.

Here you can enjoy a fresh swimming in the water base, with a permit included you can see the neighboring China .

-Lunch in a local restaurant nearby.

-Visit Nguom Ngao cave that is so beautiful but still less explored and less travelled.

-Afterwards we drive back to Cao Bang for overnight.

Day 04: Cao Bang – Dong Khe – That Khe Pass – Lang Son

-On the thread roads lead you through remote villages via Dong Khe and That Khe high pass, among huge mountains and rainforest to the middle province of Lang Son that sharing the border with China

-Stop to take some trekking to visit the local minority villages

-Lunch on the way

-Dinner and overnight in Lang Son

Day 05: Lang Son – Bai Tu Long Bay - Ha Long bay - Overnight on Vega Cruise

-Breakfast at hotel and then drive 180km to Ha Long

-12:00 – 12:15 Welcome aboard to cruise out to the Bay

-Sit back on the boat restaurant or the sundeck to relax as we cruise past the hundreds of islands and islets of Bai Tu Long Bay area that is lesser traveled by tourist and well-known for its magnificent seascapes

-Cruising and enjoying the first fresh lunch served by Vega’s boat staffs

-Turn right to reach the centre of Ha Long Bay for a visit to its largest cave called Hang Sung Sot (Surprising cave) for more or less 40 minutes

-Paddle in our 2-person kayak through a limestone Tunnel Grotto called (Hang Luon) into a lovely lagoon. You may even see wild monkeys playing on the mountain cliffs. Paddle along and through narrow passages to visit the Man head island, Butterfly cave and Horse Neck stone

-Spend more time in swimming from the boat or from your kayak in the emerald waters…

-Anchor in a tranquil lagoon among Bai Tu Long Bay, Ha Long Bay and Lan Ha Bay for dinner and a peaceful night on the boat.

Day 06: Ha Long Bay – Bai Tu Long Bay - Ha Noi

-07h00 Wake up for a new day by Walking up 340 constructed terraced steps to the top of Titop Mountain to watch the sunrise over the bay. The 360 degree view is breath-taking from this peak with views of Halong Bay - Bai Tu Long Bay - Lan Ha Bay and Cat Ba Island National Park.

-Walk down to Titop beach, a naturally formed sand beach, for a refreshing dip in the bay.

Afterwards enjoy breakfast on the boat while we cruise towards Lan Ha Bay, passing by the Pearl farming to listen to our tour guide explaining how the local people here raise and harvest pearls.

Following this inner route will lead you through the most beautiful zone of Halong Bay including the Dog stone, the Fighting Cock islet, the couple islet, the 3 -tunnel grotto and the floating fishing villages and fish farms.

If time and tide permit, we will stop for a while in a peaceful place for relaxation on the boat deck

-Enjoying our last lunch on the boat en-route heading up to Ha Long wharf

-11h45 -12:00 pack up and disembark then we continue our land driving trip to Hanoi

-Estimated to arrive in Hanoi between 16h30 – 17h00.

-We will drop you back to your hotels in the old quarter of Hanoi
